    Long time reader, first time commenter — so, thought I’d drop a comment..
    — and at the same time ask for a favor.

    Your wordpress site is very simplistic – hope you don’t
    mind me asking what theme you’re using?
    (and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

    I just launched my small businesses site –also built
    in wordpress like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

    In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate
    any feedback)

      Thank you for your comments. The theme is Catch Kathmandu- a free theme so help yourself.
      I am very new to WordPress, so got a friend (who is experienced) to set up the basics of the site with the various essential plugins (paragraph maker, sidebar generator and so on) to allow me just to add content. I wanted to keep it clean and simple. I have been using Serif Webplus for years on other sites – a much more flexible and comprehensive program, but it is no longer supported or developed by Serif. In addition the Sussex Masonic Province uses WordPress and set up the site on their server for me.

    Hey! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing many months of hard work due to no backup. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?|

      Hi
      All I use is a Wordfence plugin, which seems to do the trick. It’s free for the basic Wordfence version (which I have) but you can pay for a premium version which had aditional facilities. Plugins won’t work if your wordpress blog is a free one on wordpress.com, but will if it is wordpress.org and you have a sufficient php memory limit.

      Thank you for your comment. Not been running it long – but it’s not a blog, I use only pages not posts (apart from having to use posts for some images) so it’s a website. I’d rather use a better web design suite but I’m stuck with this, so it’s very simple.
