A Consecration Meeting was held on Wednesday 23rd May 1962 at the Masonic Temple, Queen’s Road, Brighton. The Ceremony of Consecration was performed in accordance with the Order of Procedure by the RW The Provincial Grand Master of Sussex, RW Bro Arthur Jolly assisted by the following Provincial Grand Officers:

There were also present in the Temple the twenty three Founder Members, 13 Grand Officers, 55 Provincial Grand Officers present and past, as well as 164 other Brethren – 281 in all.
The Lodge having been Dedicated and Constituted and the Ceremony having been concluded the RW The Provincial Grand Master vacated the chair in favour of the Deputy Provincial Grand Master to install the new Worshipful Master of Carfax Lodge.
